Privacy Policy
Last updated: June 2026
Fifa Sync(“the app”, “we”) lets you add FIFA World Cup 2026 matches to your Google Calendar. This policy explains exactly what data the app accesses and how it is used. We aim to access the minimum necessary and to keep your data on your own devices and accounts.
Information we access
- Your email address (Google
userinfo.email/ OpenID), used only to show which account you connected. - Google Calendar events (the
calendar.eventsscope), used only to create and update the match events you choose to add. This scope does not allow the app to read, share, or delete other events on your calendar.
How we use it
The app uses your authorization solely to create or update calendar events for the World Cup matches you select. We do not use your data for advertising, profiling, or any purpose unrelated to this feature. No human at Fifa Sync reads your data, and we do not use it to train any models.
How we store it
After you connect, your Google OAuth tokens are stored in an httpOnly cookie in your own browser session so the app can act on your behalf during that session. We do not maintain a server-side database of users, and we do not sell or share your data with third parties. The match schedule itself is public data and contains none of your personal information.
Limited Use disclosure
Fifa Sync’s use and transfer of information received from Google APIs to any other app will adhere to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.
Revoking access & deletion
You can disconnect at any time using the account control in the app, which clears the stored session. You can also revoke the app’s access entirely from your Google Account permissions. Revoking access does not remove events already added to your calendar; you can delete those directly in Google Calendar.
